It's actually been quite a long time since I've had any type of blog up, in spite of my passion for writing about myself. Lucky for you, this won't be so me-centric; I'm going to try to focus on what I've been doing in productive-land.
So here's what's new. My website's been crap for a while and I've finally gotten the time to update it. And man, did it take time. I busted the actual layout out in a couple of days, and the code for the template was in a day. However, once Drupal got dropped into the mix it turned into a pretty serious project. The total development time for this site was about two weeks, and thank God it's over - I was waist-deep in Drupal hell. The good news is, I've learned a lot (you'll find this phrase popping up a lot in this blog, I'm sure) and am better prepared for when clients want something specific.
So for any Drupal-faces out there, you may want to know how this all comes together. The main modules I used are the standards: CCK, Views, Pathauto, Contemplate. In addition, I used Embedded Media Field, Node Relationships, Page Manager (part of the Chaos Tools Suite), Imagecache, Shadowbox, and some others that aren't as vital. It was my first time delving into the world of Node Arguments and Node Relationships in Views, so that was a pretty steep learning curve.
That's enough technical website crap for now. I can't stand looking at this thing anymore anyway; HOWEVER, I do hope that you have a look through and thoroughly enjoy it.
